  • A memorable week of snowshoeing in Jotunheim! Our guide Mark was an experienced mountaineer, had a vast knowledge of mountain sports, Norway’s wild life and nature, and the local area. He offered alternative routes on a couple of days when the winds were strong and we really enjoyed walking in pine-wooded areas, in pristine white snow, over frozen brooks, looking for moose, birdwatching, and interpreting the signs left behind by wildlife. On most days the sun was out revealing magnificent winter views! Minus temperatures felt very tolerable in dry cold! The DNT lodge had everything we needed, great food, and stunning views from all windows! Our hosts - Marius, family and team - were friendly, warm and attentive! The sauna and the lounge with the log fire were popular and we enjoyed socialising with fellow travellers and guests. This was our first trip to Norway and we fell in love with it!
  • Tracks and Trails Beginners Italian Ski Break. A fabulous 5 days trip in Cogne (North West Italy). Great combination of relaxation in a typically Italian hotel (complete with log fire and a spa), and learning to cross country ski. Excellent instruction and skiing up to little local villages by Day 2 and 3. Small group of 6 enabling one to one instruction. Thanks Tracks and Trails for a well organised trip with excellent communication start to finish!
  • Snowshoes Alta Via 1 over 6 days. Andrea was an incredible guide and resource. I learned so much in addition to witnessing the most spectacular mountains. The accommodations were great and the food was top notched. I’ve already committed to doing the Alta Via 2 next year with members of our group. (Assuming with Andrea again)

Working together is the way to create amazing adventures. At Tracks and Trails it is all about teamwork, and has been since 2006 when Lindsay Cannon and Julia Tregaskis-Allen were living and working in a village in the Swiss Alps. They decided joining forces was the way forward and in that spirit of co-operation Tracks and Trails was created. Today this ethos extends to the way we work with our guests, you talk we listen, with the aim of providing the very best mountain adventure. To achieve this we work with a team of excellent guides and instructors who share our values and love of the outdoors.
